Courmayeur

Courmayeur is one of the most famous Italian ski resorts. The downhill ski area includes Mont Blanc, Val Veny and the Chécrouit plateau.

It is possible to reach the skiarea with three different cableways: from Courmayeur, from Dolonne and from Entrèves.

The three sections of the cableway that lead up to the Mont Blanc lead to off-piste routes such as the descent of the Vallée Blanche from Punta Helbronner which, with its 20 km through the Mer de Glace glacier in the heart of the Mont Blanc massif, reaches the center of Chamonix.

Also from Punta Helbronner another off-piste descends on the glacier of Toulaverso Italy. Another interesting freeride route is the descent from the Arp Vieille, the upper part of the Chécrouit area, which can be reached from the cableway of the same name. 70% of the ski domain is served by programmed snowmaking. In the hamlet of Dolonne there is a playground with movable carpets available to beginners and small skiers.

For cross-country lovers there are rings in Val Ferret. On the snow of Courmayeur all winter sports are practiced: besides skiing in all its forms, snowshoeing, snow fun park, ice climbing, snow golf, dog sledding, heli-skiing, ice skating, hockey, curling, but also the most classic indoor sports.
